Evidence - Separate Act of Sexual Misconduct Involving a Minor - Admissibility

Synopsis:

Authorizing a court to admit evidence of a defendant's conviction for a specified separate act of sexual misconduct involving a minor in the defendant's trial for a crime involving a sexual offense to a minor; requiring the State's Attorney to disclose to the defendant the State's intent to offer the evidence at least 15 days before trial unless the court allows disclosure later for good cause shown; requiring the court to hold a closed hearing to determine if specified evidence is admissible; etc.
