Maryland Transportation Authority - Toll Rate Increases

Synopsis:

Prohibiting the Maryland Transportation Authority from implementing a toll rate increase on specified transportation facilities during fiscal year 2009; prohibiting the Authority from imposing a toll rate increase exceeding 50% on specified vehicles for fiscal year 2010; requiring any toll increase for fiscal year 2010 to be phased in according to a specified schedule; encouraging the Authority to hold specified public hearings; and making the Act an emergency measure.
