Criminal Law - Distributing a Controlled Dangerous Substance to a Minor Causing Death

Synopsis:

Prohibiting a person 18 years of age or older from distributing or dispensing to a minor a controlled dangerous substance, the use or ingestion of which causes the death of the minor; establishing penalties; and providing that in a prosecution for violation of the Act, the State need only prove that a reasonable person, based on the totality of the circumstances, should have known that the minor had not attained the age of 18 years.
