State and Local Government - Disposition or Demolition of Surplus Real Property - Asbestos Remediation

Synopsis:

Requiring the State or a local government to remove and destroy asbestos or asbestos-containing material in specified areas of a building on surplus property before the sale, transfer, or demolition of a building on the property; requiring that the asbestos abatement be conducted in a specified manner; defining terms; authorizing the Governor to waive specified requirements under specified circumstances; etc.
