Physicians - Medical Professional Liability Insurance Coverage - Notification
and Posting Requirements
Requiring physicians licensed to practice medicine in the State to
notify specified patients in writing and on specified visits of
information about medical professional liability insurance coverage;
requiring that the notification be provided to and signed by a patient
at the time of the patient's first visit or at the first visit after
the physician's receipt of information and be retained as part of the
patient's medical records; requiring specified physicians to post
information in their place of business; etc.
