The Initiative
Amending the Maryland Constitution to provide for the Initiative;
recognizing the power of the people to petition to a vote a proposal
to add to, amend, and repeal the Maryland Constitution or the public
general laws under specified circumstances; prescribing requirements
for the petition and for voting on the proposal; specifying that
initiated proposals that are adopted may not be changed or repealed
within 2 years except under specified circumstances; submitting the
amendment to the qualified voters of the State of Maryland; etc.
