Natural Gas Severance Tax and Impact Fund
Imposing a tax on the removal of natural gas from natural gas wells in
the State; providing for the calculation of the tax; setting the rate
of the tax; providing for the administration of the tax by the
Comptroller; requiring persons subject to the tax to file returns and
keep and make available specified records and information; providing
for the distribution of revenue from the tax; establishing the Natural
Gas Impact Fund; providing for the administration and purpose of the
Fund; etc.
