Synopsis

Requiring the University System of Maryland to develop, in consultation with the State Department of Education and the Maryland Higher Education Commission, certain recommendations for a Southern Maryland Early College Teacher Pathway Program and a teacher preparation pathway in a certain manner; establishing the Southern Maryland Early College Teacher Pathway Program Workgroup; requiring, the Governor to include an appropriation of $125,000 in fiscal years 2028 and 2029, to support the Workgroup's recommendations; etc.
