Synopsis
Designating November 14 as Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day to commemorate Ruby Bridges, who became the first African American student to integrate an all-white school in New Orleans, Louisiana; requiring the State Department of Education to provide resource materials to assist public school systems in planning a program of education for Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day; and requiring the resources developed by the Department to assist teachers in engaging students in discussions about civil rights and social justice.
