Synopsis
Requiring the State Department of Education to conduct a comprehensive study of the potential use of artificial intelligence in public schools; requiring the study to evaluate best practices for the safe, responsible, and ethical uses of artificial intelligence, including practices that protect the personal information of students and school personnel; and requiring the Department to report the results of the study to the Governor and the General Assembly by December 1, 2024, and to adopt regulations based on the study by June 1, 2025.
