Criminal Law - Mistreated Animals - Seizure Requirements and Procedures

Synopsis:

Requiring the owner or custodian of an animal who is removed from a place because of mistreatment to complete an administrative remedy offered by a local animal control agency or humane society officer or the officer may petition the District Court for a specified disposition of the animal; authorizing the seizure and removal of an animal from specified property or impoundment on the property if there is probable cause to believe the animal is being mistreated; etc.
