Other Tobacco Products - Restrictions on Sale, Distribution, and Shipment -
Exemptions
Specifying that provisions of law relating to the regulation of other
tobacco products do not apply to a seller located outside the State
when selling, holding for sale, shipping, or delivering specified
cigars or pipe tobacco to consumers in the State; requiring the
Comptroller to submit a report to the General Assembly on or before
November 1, 2012, on the viability and efficacy of instituting in
Maryland the policy of permitting direct shipment of premium cigars
and pipe tobacco to consumers in the State; etc.
