Altering the powers and duties of the Inspector General for Education; authorizing the Inspector General to conduct, supervise, and coordinate audits and investigations into fraud, waste, abuse, violations of civil rights, policies preventing child abuse, and compliance with State and federal laws; requiring the Maryland Office of the Inspector General for Education to establish and operate a teacher safety hotline through which teachers may anonymously report certain discipline or safety issues; etc.
